there's one in the latest(?) issue of newsweek. i think it's the author herself, or at least a bit of her: it's a wrist with the word "skin" tattooed.

i have heard people say it's pretentious, that they'd feel owned by the author, that they'd hate to get a word like "if" or "and", but also that it's a fascinating idea.

i'm waiting for my word at the moment.

Hmm... but if you decided that you didn't care for the book, you could get together with the other people from, like, chapter three or something, and reuse the words for a new meaning... it could be a whole new way to build community.

although it would bring a whole new meaning to the phrase, "No if's and's or but's"
