Re: speaking of the book as an object
Tue, October 7, 2003 - 11:53 PMthere's one in the latest(?) issue of newsweek. i think it's the author herself, or at least a bit of her: it's a wrist with the word "skin" tattooed.
i have heard people say it's pretentious, that they'd feel owned by the author, that they'd hate to get a word like "if" or "and", but also that it's a fascinating idea.
i'm waiting for my word at the moment. -

Re: speaking of the book as an object
Tue, October 7, 2003 - 11:58 PMHmm... but if you decided that you didn't care for the book, you could get together with the other people from, like, chapter three or something, and reuse the words for a new meaning... it could be a whole new way to build community.
although it would bring a whole new meaning to the phrase, "No if's and's or but's"

Sat, December 20, 2003 - 10:30 AMvery nice concept!
i have no tatoos yet, but something as minimal as one word really appeals to me-and i just love the idea
