book recommendations?

i quite like "designing books: practice and theory" by jost hochuli and robin kinross, but i'm also looking for more like a reference book.

do you have any favourite books on design?

    "Make It Bigger" by Paula Scher has some nice notes on book cover design - even if it's not the sole focus of the book.

    A good typography book is The Elements of Typographic Style by Robert Bringhurst...it's pretty much the bible of typography as he has a lot of great information in there. Hope it helps...
